Who we are

Omnicart ("we") runs this website, the license server and RetailPOS Cloud. This policy explains what personal data we hold, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

  • When you sign up: your business name, your name, email and phone number.
  • When you pay: the amount, date and payment reference. Card and bank details go straight to Paystack or Flutterwave; we never see them.
  • From your tills: a device identifier for each till, so a license is used on the computers it was issued for.
  • In RetailPOS Cloud: the records your business keeps, such as sales, stock, staff, and customers' names and phone numbers. Your business decides what to keep there; we hold it for you.

Why we use it

  • To issue and check licenses, take payments and send your license key and receipts.
  • To run RetailPOS Cloud and keep your tills in sync and backed up.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to tell you about important changes to the service.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't use your business's records for advertising.

Who else sees it

Only providers that help run the service: payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave), our hosting provider, email delivery, and Meta if your business sends WhatsApp messages through its own WhatsApp Business number. Each only gets what it needs for that job.

How long we keep it

Account and payment records are kept while your license is active and afterwards for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Your business's records stay in RetailPOS Cloud until your business asks us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. If you are a customer of a business that uses Omnicart, contact that business first: it decides what it keeps about you. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
